A rewarding yet grueling weekend for our Kabuto riders in Buriram
As the MotoGP™ World Championship made its way to the bustling Buriram circuit in Thailand, fans filled the stands to cheer for their favourite riders. Though the weather brought challenges, the track was set for an eventful weekend, with over 200,000 spectators supporting the paddock through highs, lows, and intense races.
For our Kabuto riders, the weekend showcased both triumph and struggle. Collin Veijer once again proved his strength in Moto3 by landing on the podium, while Jeremy Alcoba and Aleix Espargaró faced their own hurdles in MotoGP™ and Moto2.
Saturday Sprint Race: P15
Sunday Race: P9
Championship: P10 – Points: 143
Aleix’s weekend was defined by a heavy crash on Friday, which brought severe pain and raised doubts about his ability to continue. However, Aleix soldiered on, navigating the wet track on Sunday and managing a solid ninth-place finish in the main race. Despite physical pain, Aleix praised his Kabuto helmet for its protection and credited improvements made to withstand intense racing conditions.
Aleix’s thoughts: "Friday’s crash impacted my whole weekend, leaving me in pain. I didn’t get much track time, but the wet conditions on Sunday helped. I’m pleased with ninth, given the challenges, and I have to thank Kabuto for the helmet advancements that helped me stay safe."

Race: P3
Championship: P3 – Points: 225
Collin Veijer impressed with another stellar podium finish, maintaining his position in the Moto3 championship fight. Despite encountering an unexpected gearbox issue that disrupted his traction in first-gear corners, Collin demonstrated patience and resilience. While some of the front runners went wide in the last corner, Collin held his line, ultimately securing third place.

Collin’s thoughts: "Towards the end, my first gear broke, so I struggled with traction. I stayed behind to see what would happen, and some riders went in too hot at the last corner, while I held my line. There was contact with Taiyo, I'm sorry for him that he crashed, but I don’t think it was my fault; just a racing incident. I always aim to race fairly, and I’m thrilled to be back on the podium."

Race: DNF
Championship: P13 – Points: 79
Jeremy’s high hopes after a strong start on Friday didn’t materialize as he struggled with bike setup, ultimately leading to a highside crash. Although starting from the back, he fought hard, but the lack of bike stability hindered his efforts to overtake. A heavy rain later added to the challenges, and despite giving his all, Jeremy had to retire after the crash.

Jeremy’s thoughts: "It was tough. We had a good Free Practice but started the race last, and I couldn’t push as much as I wanted. When it rained, I expected a red flag, but unfortunately, I had a highside. I’m grateful to my suit and helmet; I walked away uninjured."
Despite the ups and downs, the Kabuto riders head into the final races with renewed determination. Each race is a chance to build on this season’s strengths and lessons, with fans eager to see them back in action.
